Name: Antonio Jaufenthaler
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Orientation: Homosexual (Coming from a strictly Catholic upbringing, he does believe himself to be Heterosexual, though, and will have sex with women, but that is never really an enjoyable experience. His sexuality is not something he wants to explore, and feelings he would get towards men, he tries to brush off as anything else.)
Nationality: Tyrolean/Italian (Comes from Tyrol, but his mother is of Italian descent.)
Appearance: Picture later- (I say that all the time, and never draw anything, though....)
Curly and often messy black hair. His eyes are a light, glassy blue. He does not put much consideration into his clothing, and is not afraid to leave the house by throwing on a smock. At 5'11", and with a build that has not been filled out for a while, he is lanky.
Lazy picture Occupation: Painter/Struggling Artist, but will do odd jobs when he needs money.
Social Standing: Comes from Tyrolean peasantry, now is in the income bracket of less than most working class men.
Reason for living in Vienna: Antonio's Italian mother was an artist, he had cousins who were artists, his grandfather was an artist. But they were Italians, when his mother married an ethnically Tyrolean man, and settled on his farm, she gave up much of painting. (except as a hoby) Antonio's siblings accepted the fate left to them at the farm, but Antonio fell in love with art, and the art scene and styles that his cousins embraced after their time in Paris. He had made it a dream of his to move to Paris, and join the French Impressionists. However, he didn't have the money to do that. His parents, also did not approve of the Parisian lifestyle. They wanted him to start out in Vienna first, as that seemed much safer. Antonio had never liked Vienna, but he did as they wished, and did anyways. Nowadays, he is trying to make a living, and trying to save up for Paris. However, he finds that much more difficult then imagined.
Notable personality traits: Antonio is too young to realize the importance of the era. He is enchanted by city life, but he glorifies it in such a way, that the realities of it often let him down. He does not understand the social customs of Vienna, at all. He does not really get the rigid class structure so well, and will easily intrude on the other classes. He is in love with art, and in love with Paris. He tries to imitate the Bohemian, artist's lifestyle. He's very naïve, and friends can often lead him to trying out too dangerous things. In recent days, he's been realizing a dependency on alcohol, because of this new lifestyle he has adapted. (Which is consequently, taking away his 'for Paris' and 'for art supplies' money.) He's very passionate and idealistic, definitely to a fault. There is a love for humans in his heart, which is indicative to just how naïve he is. As his time drags on in the city, though, he is beginning to lose some of that original character.
Interests: Originally the Impressionistic art style, but is coming to realize that that is not very popular in Vienna, is slowly being influenced by the Symbolist art style, Painting, Being a hardcore painter, Aesthetics, The human body, Paris, French culture and art
Political opinions: Not very politically active. He has not gotten much sense of the happenings in Vienna, from his closeted life in Tyrol. However, he is easily swayed, and is into the liberal/socialist lifestyle, because it is all the rage with the Post-Impressionists of France.
Political/Social Affiliations: Lower class.
